Who, What, Why?

This is the part where I tell you who I am, it’s all about me!

My name is Stephane Roncada, and for those of you who don’t know who I am, well Google me! Nah I can tell you, still do Google me though

  • I am now 33 years old and happily married to the best wify in the world, Carlie, who gave me a beautiful son named Luka on December 4 2006, and more recently a beautiful baby girl name Remi on April 2nd 2012.
  • I raced motorcycle (dirt bikes) all my life, starting at the age of 4. I was very successful in Europe (I was born in Chambery, France) and left my home country at the age of 17 to come live and compete in the United States.
  • I had a very successful career here in America as well, winning the 125cc east coast championship in 2000 against Travis Pastrana, Ernesto Fonseca and many more very talented and fast riders.
  • I was vice champion the same year in the National series, loosing the title to Travis Pastrana by 2 points, thanks to a mid season knee injury.
  • I moved to the 250cc class in 2001 with factory team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki, who I raced for during the next 2 years. Although I did not win any championships in the 250cc class, I had many podiums and top 5 finishes, and had the chance to be teammates with riders such as Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Travis Pastrana, Sebastien Tortelli and many more.
  • I had to retire from racing in early 2006, due to chronic back pain and health problems. I am now a lead artist in a video games studio in Phoenix, and also do lots of off-road photography, mostly shooting events like Supercross, Motocross, X-Games, and ATV races. You can see my work right here.

This is a small and quick introduction as to who I am. There’s a lot more I need to write, as my career was full of up and downs and many great, as well as very bad things happened to me during all these years. I will keep updating this page as the days go by, so keep checking once in a while if you want to know more about me.
